About Us

Based in Palo Alto, California, we offer in-person classroom-based as well as online classes that help young learners to make their first steps into the fascinating world of electronics & programming. Silicon Valley, here we come – get ready for the next generation of inventors, engineers, and scientists!

Classes Offered

Have a look at our offerings here. Our main teaching platform is the Rasperry Pi Single Board Computer, and the Python programming language. Additionally, we use the Arduino Microcontroller and the C programming language. Depending on the focus of the class, the basics of electronics (breadboards etc.) are being taught as well.

Age Range

The suggested age range for the classes is 10 upwards. Prior experience & knowledge of electronics and programming is not required. We have successfully instructed classes of students of ages 10 to 16.

Teaching Style

We adjust our program and teaching style to the needs of each individual student, as classroom size permits. Personalization and tailoring of the course material is a key concern for us. We will make sure that your student get the most of the experience, and will have learned something new at the end of the course!

Depending on the student’s experience and rate of progress, we adjust our teaching style, pace, and depth of the material. The student will be coached continuously by our instructors during the program. For very advanced students, we encourage self-motivated / self-guided projects, with in-depth support by the instructors as needed. Our instructors also have plenty of project ideas, including some fully engineered solutions that implement these ideas. From Raspberry Pi games to Internet of Things (IoT) gadgets, and Arduino alarm clocks to weather stations – we got you covered! Advanced students are of course free to suggest their own project ideas, and can expect full engineering support from our instructors. For less experienced learners, we use an instructor driven tutorial-style teaching method – the student will be taken “by the hand” and guided in a crawl-walk-run process.

Instructors

Our instructors are experienced Makers and have years of experience with Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Some of our projects have been featured on the official Arduino blog. Learn more about our instructors here.
